I sure hope that everyone enjoyed the Halloween traditions. It is too bad that it rained, although it was badly needed. We hardly had any children trick or treating this year. We enjoyed the ones that were brave enough to come out, despite the inclement weather.

Congratulations is extended to Sharon Fitzpatrick who was this month’s winner of the Residence Meilleur 50/50 draw.

Warm birthday wishes are extended to Suzanne Gagnon, who is celebrating her birthday on Nov. 8. Enjoy your special day Suzanne.

Tuesday, Nov. 11 is Remembrance Day. On this solemn occasion, we need to reflect on the sacrifices of former generations, and also the current generation, who serve in Canada’s armed forces. Let us remember all of those who paid the ultimate price, so that we could live freely in this beautiful country. In particular I would urge citizens of Waltham to visit the monument in the center of Waltham, on rue Principale, across the street from Our Lady of Perpetual Help church. Take time to read the names of the fallen and those who served. Lest We Forget.

Anniversary and birthday wishes are extended to all those celebrating this coming week.
