There’s a section of field where I walk my pup that is almost completely made up of weeds. It looks messy and I often wonder why it has been left like that. It’s such a tangled mess, when I pass by it, I just look away. I can’t fix it. What else can I do?
Today, with the frost and a coating of snow, the whole landscape has been transformed. Each weed sticking up is dressed in glistening snow. I can hardly believe how beautiful it has become.

It got me thinking. How often, through neglect, or abuse, or a dozen other reasons do we see people whose lives have fallen apart? They are seen as a shipwreck and they are set aside as hopeless. We don’t know what to do, so we just walk on.
There is One who does not walk on by. He sees us. And His love has the power to change a life. He is only a prayer away.
