Congratulations to Brittany McKenny and Kris Belsher on the birth of their first child, a beautiful baby boy named Emeric Frank. He arrived safely on Sept. 30 and is a grandson for Leo and Janet McKenny and Robert and Joan Belsher. Best wishes to the whole family.

Last Wednesday, I boarded a plane along with seven friends bound for Nova Scotia for a much anticipated girls weekend away at the Hamilton family cottage in St. Margaret’s Bay. We had a fabulous vacation with plenty of sight-seeing, visiting, rest and relaxation. Highlights of the trip for me were a rainy day in Lunenburg and getting to board the Bluenose to look around, visiting Peggy’s Cove, and a leisurely stroll on the Harbourwalk in Halifax. We also had an early celebration in honour of Lindsay Hamilton’s upcoming 30th birthday. We surprised her with a cake and then enjoyed a pontoon ride around the ocean bays near the cottage. A big thank you to Lindsay for planning the trip and inviting all of us to join her, to Bill and Sue for the use of their beautiful cottage and to Kara, Stacy, Josee, Bonnie, Sharon, Kerry-Lynn and Lindsay for all of the fun and memories made. It was a wonderful trip.
Birthday wishes are going out to Sharon Hobbs on Oct. 3 and to Joan Foran on Oct. 4. Happy days to everyone celebrating this week.
It’s hard to believe that Thanksgiving is already upon us. I’m so looking forward to the delicious turkey dinner and celebrating with family. Happy Thanksgiving to all.
