A Pontiac-based route is being touted as a recommended circuit for quad riding enthusiasts during the upcoming autumn season.

The Fédération Québécoise des Clubs Quads (FQCQ) has included a 148 kilometre, Shawville area circuit route within a recently released list of nine endorsed trails to its members.

The recommended route starts in Shawville, where it heads west before veering north towards Ladysmith. The circuit then turns east before bending south-east towards North Onslow. From here, the trail continues south towards Quyon where it changes course once again to the west, passing Norway Bay and Bristol. The circuit completes by bringing riders back to Shawville.

“This year, with the collaboration of clubs and liaison officers, we are proposing a project for autumn circuits in certain regions. With these tours, quad riders will be able to safely enjoy the exceptional fall landscapes offered by the regions of Quebec,” the FQCQ website reads.

According to the FQCQ, if the list of recommended trails is well received and undertaken by members, more circuits could be added in the future.

The FQCQ is made up of more than 100 off-road vehicle clubs across the province, including the Club Quad Du Pontiac.

THE EQUITY reached out to the Club Quad Du Pontiac for comment but did not receive a response as of press time.
