Dear Editor,

It is expected that the draft school board reform bill of the CAQ government is to be deposited on Oct. 1. The bill in . . .

many respects is similar to the Liberal school board reform Bill 86 in 2016.

Both transferred leadership roles from school boards and commissioners to schools and the people who work daily with our children. Surely, both governments with a combined vote of over 3.2 million Quebecers, did not get it all wrong.

Contrary to what the Quebec English School Boards Association, APPELE-Québec and the lobby firm Jonathan Goldbloom – Strategic Communications suggest: no minority-language education rights will be lost.

The Constitution guarantees minority-language education rights. Those rights will be exercised in schools.

We are Anglo-Quebecers and we will continue to thrive.
