My son had a problem with his car and needed to take it to a mechanic who lives out in the country. I headed out behind him down the highway and kept up fine until we turned off onto a country road.

Suddenly everything looked unfamiliar and I thought of the story of Hansel and Gretel who were led out into the woods until they were lost.

It wouldn’t have taken much to lose me. I have a poor sense of direction but I kept my eyes on my son’s car the whole time.

It makes me think of this journey called life. Each day brings choices. We come to forks in the road. It can feel overwhelming when we have no idea what to do next.

Thankfully the Lord has not left us without a guide – the Bible. When we keep our eye on Him and His word we have a sure help. His way is the best way.
