Minor earthquake hits Ladysmith, felt across western Quebec

Earthquakes Canada is reporting a 3.9-magnitude earthquake took place 20 kilometres northeast of Shawville just after 12:30 p.m. on Apr. 14. 

The earthquake was previously reported as being of 4.0-magnitude, but has since been downgraded back to 3.9.

People from Eganville to Maniwaki to Gatineau are reporting having felt several seconds of intense shaking, some reporting it felt more like “an explosion”.
