The beach at the Camp Des Voyageurs Tim Horton camp on the Ottawa River reopened July 19, according to a press release from the province’s environment ministry.

The beach closed June 27 when a sample test of the water revealed elevated E. coli levels in Pontiac Bay, where the beach is located.

The ministry conducted tests on July 18 to re-evaluate the quality of the water and assigned it a “B” class rating, meaning the water is of good to excellent quality and is clean enough to support activities such as swimming and fishing.
