The Horse Pull, a longstanding tradition at the Shawville Fair, was held on Sunday with solid representation from across the valley. Past head of this portion of the fair, Jack Stewart, and his wife Cathy, took in the event and voiced what a success they thought it was. Win or lose, entrants showed a great deal of heart and the results of dedication to the gathered crowd, who showed their appreciation via sheer numbers and applause. With temperatures soaring, sweat glistened off of withers and flanks on the fairgrounds and off of foreheads in the bleachers.

The horse pull is one of the purest demonstration of all-in effort and teamsters provided great entertainment throughout the event. Here the team looks majestic as they move into position for a pull attempt.

The Reklaws, a country music duo made up of siblings Stuart and Jenna Walker, performed on Sunday night on the main stage. Along with performing many of their hits songs, they also added to the mix a few other artists hits such as Piano Man, Teenage Dirtbag and Friends in Low Places.
After their performance, Reklaws siblings Stuart and Jenna Walker, held a meet and greet. Chrissy Draper of Shawville was proud to get a t-shirt signed by the duo.
