The 133rd Shawville
Fair proved to be a great
success with record-
breaking attendance.
The gates opened Thurs-
day and judging begain
in the ladies department,
as well as flowers, vegeta-
ble, crops and scarecrows.
The official open of the
Fair occurred at 7:30 pm
with provincial dignitar-
ies officiating and Nancy
Pirie being chosen as
Miss Shawville Fair.
Friday, Saturday, Sun-
day and Monday were
busy days with cattle
shows, steer auction, light,
heavy and western horse
shows, racing pigs, demo-
lition derby, midway, as
well as lots of groups en-
tertaining.
Most Fair visitors en-
joyed the good weather
and meeting with old
friends.

from Gatineau to see Shawville’s annual event.

brought his nationally-acclaimed country sounds to
the Shawville Fair on Saturday afternoon.
